3.37pm is the time of day when may of us undo a great eating plan and reach for the chocolate or biscuits for a sugar hit. If this is you try my Coconut Berry Smoothie. It will keep you feeling full all afternoon and give you a little sugar hit to boost your blood sugars and keep you fuelled all afternoon. Berries are a great source of fibre and antioxidants so keep them in your freezer for a quick snack.
Ingredients:
200ml coconut water
1/2 cup frozen berries
1/2 cup ice
1 Tablespoon psyllum husk or chia seeds
Method:
Blend together until smooth
Note: Add a scoop of yoghurt or protein powder for a Carb/Protein recovery post workout snack.
